What this site collects

This site has no user accounts, no tracking pixels, and no advertising. It does not set cookies for visitors. It collects personal data in exactly two places, both initiated by you: the contact form and the call booking, described below.

Contact form

When you submit the contact form, your name, email address, and message are relayed by this site’s own backend (a serverless function on Vercel) and delivered to my inbox through Resend, the email provider. The message is not stored in any database; the only copy is the email that reaches me. I use it solely to reply and to carry on the conversation you started. I do not sell it, share it, or add it to any marketing list.

Booking a call

When you book a call, I store your name, email address, the time you picked, and any message you add, in a database (Cloudflare D1, Western Europe region), so the booking can be honoured, managed, and cancelled. Confirmation emails are sent through Resend. To offer you free time slots, the system checks only the free/busy state of my own calendar; it never reads your calendar. Booking data is kept for up to 12 months and then deleted.

Video calls

Calls run peer-to-peer between the two browsers using WebRTC and are end-to-end encrypted (DTLS-SRTP). Audio and video never pass through this site’s servers and nothing is recorded. When a direct connection is not possible, an encrypted relay (TURN) forwards the traffic without being able to read it. Connection setup messages transit briefly through the site’s backend and are deleted within 24 hours. The in-call chat travels inside the encrypted call itself and is never stored.

Live translation in calls

Calls offer optional live captions and translation. Speech recognition runs in the participants’ own browsers: on supporting browsers it happens entirely on the device, otherwise the browser vendor’s speech service processes the audio of the person who enabled it. Translation also runs on-device where the browser supports it; when it does not, only the caption text (never audio) is translated through this site’s backend using Cloudflare Workers AI, and it is not stored. Captions travel between participants inside the encrypted call and disappear when the call ends. The in-call panel shows which mode is active.

Analytics

This site uses Vercel Web Analytics, a cookie-free, privacy-friendly analytics service that aggregates anonymised page views. It does not identify individual visitors and does not track you across sites.

Processors

Three providers process data on my behalf, under their standard data processing terms: Vercel (hosting and the form/booking backend), Cloudflare (database and encrypted call relay), and Resend (email delivery, EU region). None of them uses your data for their own purposes.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask me at any time what personal data I hold about you (the emails you sent me and any booking you made), and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. Write to me@lazaroramos.com and I will handle it directly.
